Episode 17

Cuts to Sami and Carl with three men in a hotel room. Two of the men are very hard looking men one is very big muscular. The other is smaller and vicious looking. The largest of the men says nothing.

1st Man
"We have reached a decision after speaking with our boss."

Carl
"You aren't going to let us do it, are you ? Look what can I do...."

1st Man
"I said we've reached a decision nothing else now, listen to me there is something you can do for us."

Sami
"Anything we'll do anything we want you to have faith in us treat us like you would any one else who works for you."

Carl
"Thats right anything just name it."

1st Man
"Really anything, well we will see we'll see what you are willing to do and what you are capable of doing."

2nd Man
"We have a job for you, there are certain people who work for another organisation. We can't get close to them but you can."

Sami
"Get close to them and do what."

Carl
"Whatever they tell us to do thats what we'll do."

2nd Man
"We want these people out of our way....Do you understand what I mean? By doing this for us you will gain our trust it will make you like one of us."

Sami
"Are you asking us to kill someone?"

1st Man
"We are asking you to complete a small favour for us and in return we will assist you in what you want to complete you won't be going alone two of our best men will go with you and make sure everything goes ok."

2nd Man
"You will be in no danger no one will suspect you, you will be able to get very close to them and then you can kill as many of them as you can."

Carl
"We can do this, we will do this always said nothing we wouldn't do to win and this is really going to prove it."

Sami
"Is there anything else we can do, surely there must be something else, and if you can't close to these people why are two of your guys coming with us."

1st Man
"The choice is yours this is our offer take it or leave it."

Carl
"This is it step up or step the fuck off....If we want to stay in the game and win we have to do this, we don't have any other choice."

Sami
"I know, I know doesn't make it any easier though....I want to win, I said there wasn't anything I wouldn't do we'll do it you just show us where and when."

Carl
"Thank you so much, you don't know what this means to us. We won't let you down I promise you that."

1st Man
"We will contact you tomorrow and go through the details. You will have a couple of days to enjoy our beautiful city before you must do this little thing for us. You do it well and on
Thursday you will cross the border with what is required for you to win your game I assume you both know how to use a gun?"

Carl
"Yes, don't worry about us we're both gun club members and I love to go hunting when I can."

All three men start laughing.

2nd Man
"Gun club that is very funny....We'll be back tomorrow Mr and Mrs gun club. You can go hunting my friend see what you catch eh."

Cuts back to the studio.

Johnny Paradis'
"Well done Carl and Sami, you guys are really going to get the chance to live up to your word. That takes strength and moral fortitude it really shows how dedicated our contestants are folks in their pursuit for fame and fortune, You guys embody all that is good with this show and whats good in our society."

Applause and cheers from the audience.

"Lets see what some of our former contestants think of this Tommy and Sarah how do you see things shaping up?"

Cuts to Tommy and Sarah in the studio.

Tommy
"I'm really impressed with them that wouldn't be easy to do but they've really stepped up. But I suppose they have to do it yet. Until then its all words it's their actions that are going to count."

Sarah
"I don't know if I could do it, I mean thats a big ask I'm just glad I'm not in their position. They have such a difficult choice make. I don't envy them at all."

Johnny Paradis'
"Thats why it's the final Sarah it's not meant to be easy, Adam and Simon what do you think?"

Cuts to the Sudanese prison cell.

Adam
"What a challenge in the first place and now what a twist on it this is why I love this show Johnny! You just never know what to expect."

Simon
"I just want to wish them well and that I'm sure they'll do us all proud."

Johnny Paradis'
"Thats very nice of you Simon and now we're back to see Kurt and Lucy and whats happening there."

Cuts back to the front of a hotel Kurt and Lucy are getting into a car with Hector and Antonio. In the car driving through a Mexican border town.

Episode 2

"As you will recall our contestants were in the North West Frontier region of Pakistan where they had to cross the border with weapons into Afghanistan tribal wars need plenty of weapons. NOW THATS AN ADVENTURE!"

Applause and cheers from the audience. Turns to a different camera. Points at the large video screen.

"Each of our couples were paired with a different group of smugglers, why they even found the time to take some happy snaps for the folks back home......have a look at these. Don't you just love a woman with an assault rifle? I know I do ha,ha,ha,ha."

Still images of smiling contestants with the smugglers appear on screen all of them draped in guns set in mountains or desert. Names of the contestants under each picture. Each one has a greeting on it.

Derrick & Katherine Happy 21st Michelle Derrick and Katherine are dark haired dark skinned athletic.

Kurt & Brian DUDES WE ARE HERE! Two ex army men Brian short and stocky Kurt tall and solid.

Johnny Paradis'
"Wow don't they all look the part,just look what the well dressed Afghan fighter is wearing this year, pretty much what he has for the last 500. The more things change the more they stay the same don't you know. I'm Sorry to say however, not everything went according to plan for David and Maria, no in fact I'm not sorry at all ha,ha,ha,ha. It makes for great viewing,was it them? Was it just bad luck ? What I can tell you though, is they were double crossed by......Well as you know we never give away the names of those involved in anything untoward that happens to our contestants. To protect the guilty we might just name the innocent ha,ha,ha,ha. Did I just say name the innocent, tell me, who is innocent ? Especially on this show. I'm yet to meet them.
But hey, are'nt those smugglers funny guys. What can we say no honour among thieves ha,ha,ha,ha. Heres the footage of them being double crossed, just have a look at Dave's face he is one unhappy camper. Just look how angry he is. And poor Marcia she is just stunned and or amazed. Its just too funny for words so here are the pictures."

Cuts to vision of two groups of men with two other people slightly to the side loud discussion going on in what sounds like Arabic one man walks back to the two people standing apart. He's a hardbitten looking bearded man as are all the others. All of them are armed to the teeth.

Globetrotters Now Thats an Adventure !

This is socio-political black comedy set 25 years from now. It is based around an extreme reality/ game show. Contestants travel the globe completing a weekly challenge. The contestants are in teams of two and set out with a budget of $200,000 with which they use to bribe and pay their way completing the challenges.

Its is a 12 week competition. The film focuses on the final two challenges. These being people smuggling from Indonesia to Australia and drug smuggling from Mexico to the USA. They are competing for  a $20,000,000 first prize.

All the contestants care about is winning the competition and the fame and money that brings with it. They are totally oblivious of everything. They don't care about anyone but themselves, the people they encounter during the challenges are a means to an end.  

The host Johnny Paradis' is an animated game show/reality show host. He is the main character. Impeccably dressed suit and tie. There are also several "reporters' who interview contestants at the end of challenges, as well as provide background information and updates.

Globetrotters begins with people racing around being shot at and chased, scenes from terrorist attacks drug smuggling, special forces and police chases. Then a couple holding a large novelty cheque. Infomercials from major sponsors cut into the show. Interviews with the contestants are done on Skype using ipads. Tweets and email messages appear on the bottom of the screen throughout the show. It is filmed in front of a live studio audience.

The contestants have cameras  and audio on them the whole time. There are in built camera in their jackets and hats which they must wear at all times. The jackets have 6 cameras in them 2 facing forward 2 back and 2 to the side. This gives lots of footage from the contestants view point plus 360 degree vision. Hand held style camera work. Lots of cutting to and from these different camera angles. The contestants are also filmed secretly by a camera crew assigned to each team. It also uses satellite pictures. Lots of real news footage is cut in to give the impression the contestants are there. Its this and the camera work which is used to really highlight the plight of the boat people and those involved in the drug trade. On the boat it shows the conditions the overcrowding the fear and apprehension. In Mexico the use of child killers the mayhem and slaughter and the futility of the war on drugs.
